Yorba Linda Arts Alliance

We can use a lot of enthusiastic people in many areas. We work as a team, so you’ll have help with your position! A dedicated board willing to work together on existing and new projects will insure that we reach our goals. We also have a lot of fun along the way!!!

Positions and Duties:

Executive Director

Presides over the executive board
CFO, prepares budget and oversees spending
Community advocate and spokesperson for the arts
Oversees events and projects
Liaison to City Council, Commissions, Foundations, and arts groups

President

Organizes and presides over monthly general meetings
Be present at all general and board meetings
Co-chair major events and projects
Assists the Executive Director with community relations

Vice President

Oversees the various committees and chairmanships (see list below)

Be present at all general and board meetings

Co-chair major events and projects

Fills in if President is not available

Secretary

Takes minutes at board meetings

Be present at all general and board meetings

Prepares agenda for monthly meetings

Types summary of meetings & makes available to members

Treasurer

Collects membership dues and donations

Maintains roster of current members

Maintains special project income & disbursements and event funding

Member-at-large

Maintains order at meetings

Fills in for any absent board members

Advisory Board

Attend monthly board meetings, with voting privileges

Attend general meetings

Assist with events and projects

Chairmanships and Committees (board member may also serve)

Hospitality– arrives 1/2 hour prior to meeting to set up refreshments

Membership-provides necessary forms and mails out information

Programs– invite guest speakers & performers to general meetings, introduce them and provide bios to secretary for the agenda

Fundraising– identifies and coordinates fundraisers

Plein air festival & art contest
