Yorba Linda Arts Alliance

The Yorba Linda Arts Alliance was established in November, 1999 as a grassroots movement to network and promote the arts.  The Arts Alliance acts as an umbrella organization for the many arts groups and individuals, and unifying these factions into one voice.  The main goal is to establish and maintain the "Yorba Linda Center for the Arts",  a cultural and performing arts center in Yorba Linda for the use of arts groups.  Our community deserves a dedicated arts facility for the enjoyment of all residents in Yorba Linda!

Our mission:

The Yorba Linda Arts Alliance is a coalition of cultural and fine arts proponents, comprised of organizations and individuals devoted to promoting the arts in the city of Yorba Linda.   It acknowledges all of the art disciplines equally, fairly, and without involving favoritism, bureaucracy, or politics. The Alliance strives to increase community awareness, support, involvement, and enjoyment of the local arts.

Our goals are to promote the arts and ensure that they are a priority in our community. We invite you to attend our fun and informational meeting next Saturday, and find out how the arts have impacted our community, how to become more involved, and perhaps to volunteer for a committee or board position.  (Please click here for information regarding job descriptions, and let us know if you’re interested in a position).

Over the past thirteen years we have established partnerships with various arts organizations, the city’s Parks & Recreation dept., the public library, the Nixon Library, and local businesses, and we continue to find ways to unite the community through our various arts events and projects.

We have been working diligently over the past decade toward creating a cultural arts facility, which would be a draw to town center and enhance the quality of life in our community.  It’s been a long process, in which we’ve  researched and compared similar arts venues, served on the city’s Town Center Blue Ribbon Committee, the public library’s strategic planning committee, and the Arts Advantage committee for arts in the schools.

Our board has met with council members and candidates, and also the various Town Center consultants throughout the years.  We’ve  done numerous presentations to council and planning commission,  have conducted community surveys,  compiled a comprehensive feasibility study, and met with architects and builders to determine what type of venue our community would benefit from.

As you can see, we’ve come a long way in building a strong arts community, but still have much work to do.  This is where you can help further our cause!

Attend our meeting for the latest updates and also to share some of your ideas!  Feel free to invite other interested parties.

Please call 714-996-1960 or email ylartsalliance@aol.com, to r.s.v.p.
